"Koshin"is a South Coast 36 cutter rigged sloop with original unmodified fitout. South Coast 36's are renown for their high internal volume and spacious interiors equal to that of bigger yachts.

Australian registered ship with AMSA, means no annual state registration fees. And can be sailed Internationally - this yacht has sailed the Pacific and comes with charts of Eastern PNG. The centre cockpit features a large hard dodger which gives excellent protection from the tropical sun and also when sailing to windward.

Layout - double bunks forward with lockers and robe. Main saloon includes a spacious dining table with seating for 8 or more people plus a separate navigation table. The saloon/dining table drops down to a huge double berth. There is a single berth opposite.

The galley has twin sinks, a 2 burner stove with grill and oven plus a large electric fridge plus bench space.

Opposite the galley, through a door is the washroom with shower. Then through another door are the heads/toilet. Then through another door is access to storage area and starboard side of engine.

The private aft cabin has a timber door and internal access is via a passage way. This has an extra long double berth, seating area, lockers and robe. The passage way to the aft cabin also provides access to the port side of the engine via a large timber hatch from the galley.

All areas have lots of stowage space.

Good headroom throughout the living areas and in part of the art cabin.

Slipped in May 2021 with new stern gland, cutlass bearing and new antifoul. Then regularly scrubbed by a diver in recent years. Davits and solar panel fitted to stern.

New in 2024, Muir Storm VRC1250 Windlass fitted and barely used.

Additional Comments:

Staysail roller furler not working - bearings and seals need replacement: This video shows the sizes required and exactly how to replace them step by step. Https://www. Youtube. Com/watch?v=vc3DQJPHudg

As discussed, personally I would replace this with a torsion line for the stay sail with a continuous furler. So the stay sail is removeable.

Water: 150L in bladder - I replaced the bladder in 2024 but have not got to re-connecting the 200L water tank in the keel as I saw this as a more challenging task (due to lack of knowledge).

Holding tank: is in keel and not currently connected - for compliance I have a new Thetford Porta-Potti available to the new owner which can be stored in the starboard side engine room.

Solar is currently two 36W solar panels on S/S frame above davits connected to Victron 75/15 BlueTooth solar controller.

Koshin comes with two brand new PowerTech 100W flexible solar panels (from RTM) sized to fit either side of the hatch on the hard doger and two brand new 20Amp (Kings) MPPT solar controllers are included. Four 15Amp solar cables have been run through from the hard dodger to where the current Victron solar controller is located in the starboard side engine room area next to the bus board.
