This is an outstanding world cruising yacht that is ready to do the job!
Robb Ladd’s design is contemporary with wide beam at the deck level and moderate beam at the waterline with a raked stem and reverse transom. The low deckhouse gives the vessel a stylish sleek appearance. The Tayana 64 has an angle of vanishing stability of 129 degrees. This means that, combined with her excellent ballast/displacement ratio, she’ll stay strongly on her feet in high seas and big winds. Her underbody has an elongated fin keel with integral lead ballast and a protected skeg hung rudder, giving her great handling for a boat of her size. The hull is solid FRP from the waterline down, and from the waterline up, except around portlights, hatches and fittings which are solid fiberglass, she is cored with ATC Corecell high density foam which provides additional stiffness and good insulation. The reverse transom with 4 steps to the water offers easability in/out of dinghy and swimming.
